Where Do I Start Online?

I have seen a lot of similar questions recently in the various forums I visit, and its a great question! There is so much information out there for a beginner to take in.

The first thing is to get stuck in there, sign up to some newsletters, buy some products, read some free blogs and have a go at setting up your first website or blog. Once you have done that, you can move onto the next step, which is monetizing your website.

Focus is the key and you need to keep focused on one topic or niche if possible. The more attention and focus you can give a topic, the more chance of success you will have. I have made a lot of money by building multiple sites in one specific industry, and then cross promoting the various sites. Niche websites are an excellent way to attract targeted traffic.

Lets do a quick case study on myself as its easier. I am currently working on promoting 1 product/ training system which is The Renegade Network Marketer. I recently made a video about some of my ideas to build up this business, which you can find on my Attraction Marketing blog post.

I know in network marketing, there are lots of different network marketing businesses and companies around who need help with getting leads and signups into their business, so over a period of about 6 months I will create mini networks for all the big network marketing companies.

I will have multiple sites for each one. So, I would have 2-5 blogs for Amway, 2-5 blogs for Kleeneze, 2-5 blogs for Nuskin etc and cross promote each one. I am funneling traffic from each of the feeder sites into my main blogs or sites which will then capture the lead.

If I could give a newbie a bit of advice, it would be - GET INVOLVED WITH VIDEO - anything you learn online, try to convert it to video, put it up on youtube.com or other video sharing sites and use these massive video sites to drive traffic back to your main blog.

You can dominate a niche market by producing videos about the topic. Fairly soon, you will have a huge following of people who watch and listen to your videos. You are then in a great position to recommend products to them! Although Youtube.com is huge, there are still not many bloggers or website owners using video to promote your business.
