Consider the prospect.  Let us consider the situation.  You have a niece that simply does not like you.  No matter what you have done, they simply give you the cold shoulder, do not look at you and even stick their tongue out when you are not looking at them.  Therefore, you employ the method of bringing them a treat.  When they come to your home, you hand them a bowl full of candy.  Each time they come, you do the same thing.  They like you then, smile and may even laugh at your jokes.  While this sounds like it has worked in your favour, that's not likely to stay that way.

The same thing is true with giving way free products to your prospects.  If you plaster ads saying you are giving away your top ten secrets, people will come, they will download the information, they will listen to your calls, come to your seminars, whatever it takes.  People like to get free things.  While this sounds good, it is not likely to be the way things will stay.

Just like your niece, as soon as you stop giving them free items and tell them they need to pay for it, they are going to not just not listen to you and stick out their tongue to you, but they will also likely turn their back on your methods, information and may become angry enough to stomp their toes.  In short, you are now mean for teasing them with the basics and making them pay for the other information that they want and need.  That is not going to create a client out of them.

Does that mean that you should not give items away free?  Giving things away is a good part of marketing, but it has to be in use correctly.  You need to take special care to make the right decisions and to limit the amount that you give away free.  Make compromises too.  If you give them something free, they should be giving you something too, even if that is their contact information or perhaps making a small purchase.

Make your free giveaways work for you instead of taking too much from you.  Not only do you miss less this way, but you also show  your clients that you are the expert who does not need to sell their items free.

1:  Don't Make The Flash Intro Mistake

The flash intro is a heavily debated topic.  Some believe that this is a good way to introduce the website to your guests.  Others believe that it is a total waste of your prospects time.  Compare it to a commercial and how willing you are to change the channel instead of watching the commercial.  Prospects are most likely to do the same thing.  In addition to this, another downfall of the flash intro is that it keeps the search engines away, which could further harm your chances in a competitive marketplace.

2:  Animated Buttons

Animated buttons fall along the same lines as using flash intros.  They are likely to cause a number of problems, including being annoying to your prospects.  The problem is they do not attract a customer's eye, but they annoy them and they tend to close pages with too many of these listed, too.

3:  Employ Inappropriate Soundtracks

Using soundtracks on some websites works well, but on others, it is not warranted.  Some prospects will be driven away, especially if you have a soundtrack that repeats itself repeatedly.

4: Not Employing A Copywriter

If your website is not looking too grand you can fix that one thing yourself.  However, remember that most websites can benefit from a good copywriter.  The key is to get your point across and to do that you need clear, precise content.  Long-winded, fluff stuffed content is not going to sell your product, service or your business in any way.  Hiring a professional does not have to be costly.  If you believe your content is quality enough, have someone else look before you dismiss this notion.

5. Pop Ups Out Of Control

While some websites warrant the use of pop ups, using them correctly is the key.  In some situations, they are going to backfire on you instantly.  For example, if a prospect wants to learn more, clicks on a link to take them to the "more" information, but they are facing a pop up that not only is in their way but also takes forever to load, they are more likely to close off the entire website and go elsewhere to find the information.  This is particularly painful at the end, when a prospect is trying to leave your site.  It looks desperate and it often results in a bad taste in their mouths.

While your business may not be in designing websites, it most definitely is in attracting a client base.  This often means providing key information to your clients on a timely basis that has proper delivery.  Keep them happy and they will be more profitable to you.

Having the right follow up with your contacts is part of most mlm business plans, and rightly so.  The process of finding such a program does not have to be too challenging either.

In any follow up software program, such as Aweber, you need to know what to send, who to send it to as well as when to send it.  The process can be quite intense.  When you use a contact management software product, you will have all the ability to manage your contacts.  A good program can help with:

• Knowing who to send emails to
• Knowing which post cards to send
• Knowing what tasks need to be done
• Knowing who your contacts are and the actions they have taken

• Lead capture: this program helps with you with capturing leads, too.

As you can see, having an online contact manager is a great investment for most network marketers. 

Mlm Video blogs are much more efficient for those of you who are more used to dealing with people face to face.  You don’t have to waste any of those in person persuasion skills that you have developed – videos are the easiest things to produce in the world, and now the cheapest.

Google Reader is a tool that may be helpful for you, though.  Use it to help you stay up to date on the latest network marketing tips from your favorite blogs or use it to keep your prospects filled with information.  The process of using it is quite simple.

Sign into your Google account.  If you do not have one, get one and easily get it set up.  Then, you will want to visit http://Google.com/reader.  (You can sign up for a Google account here, too.)  There is a helpful tutorial, but you probably do not need to use it to get the gist of what this program can offer to you.  The system will subscribe you to the website's RSS. 

From this point, you can subscribe to as many of the websites you want to so you can stay up to date.  You can do this by clicking on the link that says, "Add subscription."  When you do, you can type in the website address of your favorite blogs, websites or anything else that is important to you.  Then, click "add" which will add the website to your list and gives you a confirmation message.

One of the best ways to use this information is to do so using the "List View" tab on the page.  The reason this is helpful is that it displays all of the latest posts to the website in an email like listing.  This gives you the latest information with a bit of the first words on the page, so you can see what the latest posts are and easily click on those that you want to read and leave those that you do not.  You get to see the headlines and are able to click whenever you want more information.

You can take this even further by keeping your feeds organized using Google Reader's folders.  Again, this is very simple to use.  You simply need to click on the "feed settings' then "new folder" links.  Type in the name you want to give the folder.  A good way to do this is by topic. 

If this sounds painfully simple, that is because it is.  How can a network marketer use this?  One way is to keep up to date on the postings to your favorite blogs.  All those helpful tips and resources that they always give you are kept here and are easier to use.  In addition, it is simple for you to access all the information in one spot rather than having to log into various websites, wait for them to load and then gather your information.  It is one of the easier methods of keeping up to date.

Increase Visibility

Start by displaying all your business expertise in the “Answers” section of your profile on LinkedIn. When people are searching on the website, they are often searching for answers to specific questions. By providing your areas of expertise, your profile will display in the matching searches.

The next powerful marketing tactic on LinkedIn is to encourage profile readers to visit your personal or business blogs.

Driving people to your blog will give you the opportunity to gather their contact information as well as for you to possibly earn pay-per-click income or to generate affiliate income.
